Clare McKenna & Dani Kline

Clare and Dani were traveling down different career paths until those paths crossed in 2009.

They found themselves working for a nationally-recognized nonprofit organization where they were tasked with the challenge of making operations profitable, enhancing member experience and building a state-of-the art facility, all while delivering an annual campaign and events that raised over $300,000 a year.

These successes produced the dynamic duo, which brought two vastly different work styles to the table while maintaining shared values; integrity, respect, trust and a strong work ethic. Together, they went on to spread their knowledge and talents to their colleagues, other teams and locations. This ignited their passion to have the courage to walk away from helping advance only one mission and go forward helping advance many. Clare and Dani made the decision to end their career by paying it forward and McKenna Kline Consulting was born.

Clare McKenna has over 30 years of successful leadership experience within the nonprofit sector.

As such, one of Clare’s unique attributes is her ability to see potential in people, get them out of their comfort zones and coach them to reach their fullest potential. She has mentored thousands of employees over her 32-year career and has enjoyed watching them take what they learned to find their own success. Clare has experience in assessing the needs of an organization, providing honest and critical feedback and sharing her own failures and successes so that others can benefit from her years of experience to realize their own vision.

Clare’s long-standing history of annual and capital fundraising helped a multi-million dollar nonprofit turn a struggling branch into a fiscally profitable operation. Clare feels that building relationships with potential donors, working with existing donors to increase their charitable contributions and ensuring that donors feel valued and appreciated is a critical component to ensuring successful fundraising campaigns.

Dani Kline brings over a decade of successful leadership experience within the nonprofit sector.

As such, one of Dani’s unique attributes is her ability to connect with clients by listening, coming from a place of understanding, processing the information and guiding them in a positive, professional direction. Her energy and get-it-done attitude is infectious and inspires those around her to reach their potential.

In addition, Dani possesses a keen eye for details. This attention to detail has not only contributed to her success in fundraising event organization, but has proven invaluable for her great success in campaign recruitment, fundraising and volunteer development.

She has a gift for taking abstract ideas and putting them into practice, which helps nonprofits think outside the box to bridge the gap between potential and success. By looking for untapped donor networks and unorthodox opportunities for organizational and board development, Dani has built a reputation for excellence in nonprofit circles.
